Inspired by the feeling of being able to just reach out and touch the moon the way we could touch a flower. I started by drawing these hands with charcoal. Once I cut out the hands, all I could think of was how I would pretend I could hold the moon as a child. Using molding paste and acrylic paint to accentuate the texture of the flower, and gold leaf to represent the moon, this painting makes you want to feel art with all of your senses.
